Celebrate Midsommer eve
in Döbelns park

On Midsummer Eve itself we will organise a joint midsummer celebration in Döbelns Park, with dancing around the maypole, a concert and a barbecue dinner. Free entry for all. Meals can be purchased in our online shop.

At 12 PM
we will decorate the maypole and sing some classic dance tunes together. Guests can either purchase lunch and drinks in our large tent or bring a picnic basket with them. Enjoy choral performances and other entertainment on the large stage. We plan to treat guests to a ’vocal battle’ between French group Egregor and multinational group Accent as well as a performance by the Koris Austrums choir from Riga.

At 4 PM
Opening of the fourth Sámi season, Gijrragiessie (early summer). On stage: Vocal group Kraja – folk songs, love songs and hymns. Ára – Exciting music with the Sámi yoiking tradition at its heart. Umeå’s own Kammarkörens Sångkraft choir will conclude the opening festival. Light food and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the day.

At 7 PM
Food, mingle and open mic in our festival tent all evening long.
